Hi! My name is Xiaoyu. I am a full time Engineer working in the building industry and I am also a creative being, a yogi, a traveler, a chef, and a contemplator of life. Between making time for errands, friends and family, going out, traveling, working out, there really isn’t much time for myself and the things that I love. I decided this year to really focus on my creative self and to document the things that work for me to help balance my hectic crazy life.
About The Inspired Humanity Blog
I created The Inspired Humanity, as a venue for my thoughts and ideas to and catalog the things that make my life easier and full of beauty and happiness. The Inspired Humanity is a lifestyle blog that focuses on style, food, fashion, and travel. The Inspired Humanity’s mantra focuses on living a balanced and beautiful lifestyle.
What does a day in my life look like?
I wake up around 5:00 am and I will meditate for 5 minutes, and I make myself coffee so I can have have a few moments for clarity before I start my busy day. I usually work from 6 am to 4 pm and then I hit the yoga mat for an hour. I try to spend a couple days of the week with friends to catch up and the rest are spent reading books (check out my reading list).
What am I passionate about?
Self Love: Taking time for yourself and getting to know yourself.
Community: “It takes a village to raise a child”.
Traveling: I can’t stress enough how important traveling is for building character. I have learned so much about myself through some of my adventures.
Learning: You’re always learning and therefore growing. We live in an age where information is readily available at our fingertips (literally. think iphones, ipads, laptops). I think its great to take advantage of the technology to advance yourself and your abilities.
Cats: Just because they are majestic, in the process of adopting one.
Full Disclosure: Some of the products I write about on my blog I am sponsored to write about but I will not endorse a product I don’t believe in, but I might write about it or reference and link to it, I use the products that I write about and I will explicitly state in to top of my blog entries if I no longer use that product and what I have replaced it with.
